The club allocates funding every year to support student personal projects. If you need parts or tools that we don’t have in stock, feel free to fill out this form to request special parts.
Our preferred method of purchasing components is E-Shop. For a list of available vendors, see this page.
Common electronics vendors are Amazon, Digi-Key, and Allied (now RS). Newark is no longer a preferred vendor.
Common materials vendors are Amazon, McMaster-Carr, and WB Mason.
We are able to purchase non-E-Shop items through the ECE department, but it requires additional approval and increases the time to purchase.
You will be asked to upload a parts list, and if requesting more than approximately $100 of parts, a proposal and progress report as well. We may ask you to document your project or produce a video as seen below.
Policy
These funds are to be allocated for personal projects only! That means it cannot be for classes, research, or project teams. Please talk to one of the current officers if you have any questions.
